The Prime Minister , Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated the Surat diamond bourse in Surat Gujrat. The new diamond has been added to the glory of Surat.
Further, This will be the world’s biggest and latest center for international diamond and jewelry business. Bourse will consist of state-of-the-art custom clearance house for imports-export.
Surat diamond bourse is diamond trade center situated Dream City i.e. Surat Gujrat India. And this is designed by the firm Morphogenesis.
In addition to above, it is the world’s biggest diamond trading center with a floor space 6,60,000square meters. And it is the word’s largest office building.
It is a jewelry mall for retail jewelry business. And this makes easier for international banking and safe vaults. Further, This will be a worldwide center for trading of both rough and polished diamond and jewelry.
Further, Surat is constantly connecting with the international trade centers. Hardly any cities in the world have such international connectivity.
Structure of Surat diamond bourse
The Surat diamond bourse is situated in Diamond Research and Mercantile city. And it is extended across 14.38 hectares with 6,60,000 square feet built-up area.
Further, this bourse consist of nine connected towers . And each towers has 15 floors accommodating 4200 offices. Moreover, the nine towers are connected with each other by an large , 22km long center corridor ,with access to services.
In addition, there are 131 lifts . further, the buildings provides many services such as conference hall, multipurpose hall, banks ,restaurants and retail shops.
Furthermore, there is custom clearance house for export and import of diamonds, National diamond institute , an International convention center ,International education facilities and five star hotels.
